A fun soap made with Irish extra stout beer which is good for hair and skin. We have sold this to customers who buy it for the novelty only to have them to continue to use it for shampoo and bath. It does not have a beer scent ,but we scent it with three essential oils which gives it a pleasant and some what masculine scent. This soap is made with food grade diatomaceous earth. Although it is old as dirt, we discovered it while looking for a non chemical, safe way to treat fleas. We are amazed by all the uses for Diatomaceous earth, one being that it is good to promote healthier, softer skin, less itching, faster healing and good for psoriasis. While good for bathing animals, we have in mind a good bath and shampoo soap for people. jewelweed_poison_ivy

Soap for poison ivy, poison oak, sumac or helps with insect bites. Made at the request of one of our wholesale shops in Missouri. We have been buying jewelweed infusion oil from a farm in Maryland and ordered seeds to grow our own. Imagine my surprise when I realized this is a plant I have been pulling from our garden and flower beds for years - after all it is a weed. It contains the compound lawsone which counteracts the irritants in the poison plants. Also, we add Kaolin clay to help dry rashes. Ingredients: Saponified olive, coconut, palm, soybean oils, jewelweed infusion oils, goat’s milk, water, kaolin clay, annise essential oil, jojoba, grapeseed, sweet almond and natural vitamin E. kudzu

We first made this soap years ago when invited to a kudzu festival. Researching kudzu, we found the leaves do actually have some therapeutic value and has been used for centuries in other countries. There is certainly no shortage of kudzu leaves in our area and we dry these and produce infusion oil. However, this remains mostly novelty soap and goes good in our crate of southern soaps. lavender

Lavender is one of the most valued herbs due to it’s many properties. It is antibacterial, antifungal, it soothes burns, cuts, skin problems, headaches and not to mention its wonderful, nostalgic scent. Always a top seller. lemongrass_sage

This has a definite scent of lemongrass and sage and a favorite with men. In fact, it is named after a grandson whose nickname is Sunshine. It has a fresh citrus scent. We call this our fishing soap, but for anyone who enjoys the natural scent of licorice scent that comes from a blend of anise and fennel essential oils. Milk & Mud is made with natural Dead Sea Mud and Dead Sea Clay which contains a unique combination of mineral from the Dead Sea. This mud soap is excellent at removing dirt from skin and pores and deep cleaning skin while infusing skin with minerals. I use this soap nightly to cleanse my skin and occasionally leave the soap on to dry before removing with warm water and a wash cloth. This gives the feel of a mud mask and leaves the skin soft and deep cleaned. Your skin will look and feel healthier and firmer. The mud tightens your pores and increases circulation. The exfoliation removes the dead skin cells from the surface revealing new, healthier skin cells. This soap also is made with goat’s milk which is high in peptides that increase skin’s collagen production leaving skin firmer while reducing lines and wrinkles. Not your grandmother’s lye soap as this contains botanical oils instead of animal fats. It is a pure, plain handmade lye soap to answer the many request of those who feel it is good for poison ivy, shampoo and other skin ailments. We have always made this soap with goat’s milk and cream. Customers say this fragrant soap feels like lotion on their skin. We have a group of motorcycle riders who buy it for this reason. We grow the roses so the petals in the soap is not sprayed with chemicals. A novelty soap and a favorite in the Southern soaps crate. A rather musky scent reminiscent of an old charred whiskey barrel. muscadine

Another Southern favorite with a musky, muscadine scent. This was originally Made for Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain to go along with all their Muscadine jellies and sauces. Nature_hunting

Made with a tincture of tree barks along with essential oils from wood plants, this soap has a pleasant woodsy scent that helps mask human odor for hunters, campers, hikers or anyone who enjoys a natural, wood scented soap. Contains the bitter orange blossom oil of Neroli which is believed to help cell regeneration and contains the Hawaiian kukui oil for dry, chapped skin. oatmeal_milk_honey_unscented

It is not possible to list all the good properties of this soap. Oatmeal is good for all skin types and treats eczema, dermatitis and acne. It exfoliates dead skin cells. Honey is an antioxidant that heals and kills bacteria that causes acne. It also moisturizes and restores skin’s natural PH. Add this with goat’s milk and you have a power house for skin care. We made over 70 varieties of soaps but if we made only one, it would be this soap. It is unscented. A blend of orange and tangerine essential oils in a goat’s milk soap. Citrus essential oils help reduce stress and help cleanse skin which sheds dead skin cells to brighten a dull complexion. patchouli

This is a sensuous herb valued for its fragrance and skin care properties. It has a strong, sweet, earthy scent that I associate with the hippie time of my life. Due to its distinct scent it is used as a base note in many perfumes. It is good for dry, chapped skin. Over the years when we discovered an oil that is especially good for the skin, we have kept notes, and have combined these oils into an all natural face serum. This is a combination of oils good for anti-aging, sun damage, sun burn, rosacea, eczema, acne, etc. As the molecules in oil are small than creams, this is easily absorbed into the skin to nourish the layer of skin that produces collagen for a younger, less wrinkled skin. Buck Naked Unscented shampoo and bath soap A customer ask us to make an unscented soap for women to use to shampoo their hair. We researched this and found basassa oil from Brazil was especially good for hair and unscented. We added this with the other good ingredients and thus came up with Buck Naked. The customer also markets this soap under her private label. Unscented great for hunters. As with many of our soaps, this one came about at the request of a customer who wanted something about the river for their shop. Research showed a beautiful lily associated with the Flint River thus River Lily soap Was developed by blending a number of essential and fragrance oils. The stripe in the soap is from black walnut hull powder which is believed to have medical properties. The soap has become a favorite. Soap for poison ivy, poison oak, sumac or helps with insect bites. Made at the request of one of our wholesale shops in Missouri. We have been buying jewelweed infusion oil from a farm in Maryland and ordered seeds to grow our own. Imagine my surprise when I realized this is a plant I have been pulling from our garden and flower beds for years - after all it is a weed. It contains the compound lawsone which counteracts the irritants in the poison plants. Also, we add Kaolin clay to help dry rashes. kudzu

We first made this soap years ago when invited to a kudzu festival. Researching kudzu, we found the leaves do actually have some therapeutic value and has been used for centuries in other countries. There is certainly no shortage of kudzu leaves in our area and we dry these and produce infusion oil. However, this remains mostly novelty soap and goes good in our crate of southern soaps. Milk & Mud is made with natural Dead Sea Mud and Dead Sea Clay which contains a unique combination of mineral from the Dead Sea. We researched this and found basassa oil from Brazil was especially good for hair and unscented. We added this with the other good ingredients and thus came up with Buck Naked. The customer also markets this soap under her private label. Unscented great for hunters. As with many of our soaps, this one came about at the request of a customer who wanted something about the river for their shop. Research showed a beautiful lily associated with the Flint River thus River Lily soap Was developed by blending a number of essential and fragrance oils. The stripe in the soap is from black walnut hull powder which is believed to have medical properties. The soap has become a favorite.
